چکیده

We study a multi-cell multi-user MIMO full-duplex network, where each base station (BS) has multiple antennas with full-duplex capability supporting single-antenna users with either full-duplex or half-duplex radios. We characterize the upand downlink ergodic achievable rates for the case of linear precoders and receivers. The rate analysis includes practical constraints such as imperfect selfinterference cancellation, channel estimation error, training overhead and pilot contamination. We show that the 2× gain of full-duplex over half-duplex system remains in the asymptotic regime where the number of BS antennas grows infinitely large. We numerically evaluate the finite SNR and antenna performance, which reveals that full-duplex networks can use significantly fewer antennas to achieve spectral efficiency gain over the half-duplex counterparts. In addition, the overall full-duplex gains can be achieved under realistic 3GPP multi-cell network settings despite the increased interference introduced in the full-duplex networks.

Design and Efficient Analysis of Large Reflectarray Antenna

In recent years reflectarray antennas have received considerable attention due to their unique capabilities. However, due to their large size, analyzing the performance of these antennas using traditional full wave finite-difference and finite-element techniques requires considerable computational resources. In this paper, we present an efficient method to accurately analyze these class of ante...

How to Split UL/DL Antennas in Full-Duplex Cellular Networks

To further improve the potential of full-duplex communications, networks may employ multiple antennas at the base station or user equipment. To this end, networks that employ current radios usually deal with self-interference and multi-user interference by beamforming techniques. Although previous works investigated beamforming design to improve spectral efficiency, the fundamental question of ...

On Joint Sub-channel Allocation, Duplexing Mode Selection, and Power Control in Full-Duplex Co-Channel Femtocell Networks

As one of the promising approaches to increase the network capacity, Full-duplex (FD) communications have recently gained a remarkable attention. FD communication enables wireless nodes to simultaneously send and receive data through the same frequency band. Thanks to the recent achievements in the self-interference (SI) cancellation, this type of communication is expected to be potentially uti...

Self-interference suppression for the full-duplex wireless communication with large-scale antenna

In this letter, we proposed a shared-antenna fullduplex massive MIMO model for the multiuser MIMO system. This model exploits a single antenna array at the base station (BS) to transmit and receive the signals simultaneously. It has the merits of both the full-duplex system and the time-division duplex (TDD) massive MIMO system, i.e., the high spectral efficiency and the channel reciprocity. We...

Performance Analysis of Self-Interference Cancellation Methods in Full-Duplex Large-Scale MIMO Systems

This paper presents a performance analysis of self-interference cancellation methods in full-duplex large-scale multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. To support huge data traffic demands, we assume that the base station is assumed to be located in the small cell, giving it compact antenna arrays with a high channel correlation. From the analysis and the numerical results, the time-doma...
